Meet Assam's rebel poet and child prodigy, known for his revolutionary writings. Born in 1974 in Khutikatia, Nagaon, Kabiranjan Saikia began his literary journey early, publishing his first collection, "Rakta Aroti," at age 12. Despite his association with the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), he openly criticized their violent methods, advocating for non-violence and social justice. Tragically, he was killed in a fake encounter on May 26, 2000, at the age of 26.
